BIOGRAPHY
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou Nkamhoua  (born April 18, 1984), mostly billed simply as Sokoudjou, is a Cameroonian mixed martial artist and judoka, and the former KSW Light Heavyweight Champion, who came to prominence in Japan's PRIDE Fighting Championships. He has since had mixed success with stints in the UFC, WEC, Affliction, Strikeforce, and DREAM. He reached the final of the DREAM Super Hulk Grand Prix in 2009.

Born in Cameroon, Sokoudjou began to practice judo at the age of around 5. He moved to the United States in 2001 to pursue his career in judo

Sokoudjou was the 2001 US Open judo champion as a member of Judo America San Diego, and currently trains with Team Quest where he is acting as a kickboxing and MMA instructor.

In his PRIDE debut at PRIDE 33, Sokoudjou became the first and only fighter to finish legendary Brazilian Antonio Rogerio Nogueira via KO in 23 seconds. This fight also stands out amongst fans because Sokoudjou was a 16 to 1 underdog.

Sokoudjou scored a knockout victory over longtime PRIDE contender Ricardo Arona at PRIDE 34.

He is known for his striking abilities and brutal ground and pound attack, with most of his wins coming by way of KO/TKO.

BELLATOR
In May 2014, Sokoudjou signed a contract with the BELLATOR to fight in their Light Heavyweight division.

In June 2014, Sokoudjou earned by submission (Rear-Naked Choke) in his promotional debut at BELLATOR 121.

ABU DHABI WARRIORS
In August 2015, Sokoudjou signed a contract with the ABU DHABI WARRIORS to fight in their Light Heavyweight division against former UFC Paul Buentello.

VENATOR FC
In February 2016, Sokoudjou signed a contract with the VENATOR FC to fight in their Light Heavyweight division in Italy.

In May 2016, Sokoudjou faced former UFC and WSOF Matt Hamill and earned by KO in the first round in his promotional debut at VENATOR FC promotion in Milan, Italy.

Sokoudjou faced European prospect Jan Błachowicz at KSW XV for the KSW Light Heavyweight Championship, After two rounds Sokoudjou landed 12 leg kicks, making Błachowicz unable to continue the fight.

On November 12 Sokoudjou facedJan Błachowiczin a rematch at KSW XVI, Sokoudjou lost via unanimous decision and theKSW Light Heavyweight Championship
Sokoudjou faced Polish fighter Lukasz Jurkowski at KSW 39: Colosseum on May 27, 2017. He lost the fight via Split decision.

Sokoudjou faced Sergei Kharitonov in short notice as heavyweight at M-1 Challenge 80 in China on June 16, 2017 He lost by KO the fight.
